Description
The YULONG Blue & White Ceramic Table Lamp brings a wonderful sense of movement to traditional Chinese design, with its intricate decoration of fish leaping through foaming waves. Painted in classic cobalt blue against a soft white background, the swirling water and detailed fish create a striking design reminiscent of Hokusai's famous Great Wave.
In Chinese culture, fish symbolise abundance, prosperity and good fortune. The image of a fish leaping through powerful waters also recalls the legend of the carp jumping the Dragon Gate, representing perseverance, ambition and success. A lovely reminder that determination can lead to great things!
The rounded ceramic base sits on a dark wooden plinth and is topped with a softly pleated cream lampshade, creating a timeless combination of colour and texture.
Perfect for a living room, bedroom or hallway, YULONG looks beautiful on a Chinese sideboard, console table or bedside cabinet. Its classic blue and white palette works effortlessly with natural woods, soft neutrals and both contemporary and traditional interiors.
