Description
The JINLI Ceramic Stool is a beautifully hand-painted interpretation of the traditional Chinese porcelain garden stool. Originally used in Chinese courtyards and gardens as portable seating, these distinctive ceramic stools have been part of Chinese interiors and outdoor spaces for centuries.
Decorated in classic blue and white, JINLI features a fish swimming amongst lotus flowers and foliage. In Chinese symbolism, fish are associated with abundance and prosperity, while the lotus represents purity and harmony.
Use as an occasional stool, side table or simply as a decorative piece. It looks particularly lovely on a terrace or amongst garden planting during the warmer months, bringing colour and unmistakable Chinese character to an outdoor space.
As each stool is hand-painted, subtle differences in the decoration and finish are part of its individual charm.
Suitable for outdoor use during the summer months. We recommend bringing indoors and storing in a dry, frost-free place over winter.
