Soapstone is a soft rock that the Chinese have been using to carve for centuries. It's known as one of the most luxurious rocks because it has beautiful translucence and texture. It can be carved into a variety of shapes and sizes. It's soft enough to carve with simple tools yet hard enough to hold its shape over time.
