Originating from Jiangsu province around 1930, this piece is shaped in a traditional Chinese form with clean lines and simple detailing. The hand-carved three-panel backrest adds subtle interest, while the overall structure is beautifully balanced and practical.
The later turquoise-blue lacquer brings a fresh energy to the chair’s timeworn wood, with its high-shine patina catching the light and drawing the eye.
