Crafted in Dongbei province around 1920, the ANHUI Chinese Sideboard is a beautifully preserved antique that radiates both charm and cultural significance. Made from Chinese pine, this red-lacquered sideboard is adorned with original hand-painted motifs, each one carefully chosen for its meaning. Pomegranates decorate the doors, representing fertility and prosperity, while vibrant peonies and roses symbolise love, honour, and abundance. A single dragonfly flits among the floral scenes, suggesting harmony and transformation. The geometric borders give structure and balance to the overall design.
