A fabulous restored antique long Chinese sideboard which dates back to the 1920s when it was hand-made in the province of Gansu.
This long and substantial dresser would be the perfect storage cabinet for a large dining room, living room or statement cabinet for an entrance hall.
The original brown lacquer has been retained on the doors of the two double cupboards, which have decorative floral hand-painting framing the door panels.
Each of the two large double cupboards houses a removable shelf and the four doors, each of which closes with a magnet, are dressed with solid brass tab handles. The original decoration on the skirt adds charming detail to this eye-catching long cabinet.
Chinese lacquer is generally easy to care for. A soft duster will remove fingerprints, a silicone furniture cleaning spray will restore the lustre and spills can be removed with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
There is a risk of wood splitting, discolouring or warping if placed directly next to a heat source (including under floor heating) or in sunlight.
