This tall Chinese antique cabinet dates back to c.1920 when it was hand-made in the province of Gansu.
This is a cabinet which over the years could offer generous free standing storage for a kitchen, hallway, living room or bedroom.
The very useful double cupboards, above and below three central drawers, each have a removable shelf. The drawers and doors are all furnished with solid brass tab handles. The intricate, handmade fretwork is an example of typical Chinese cabinetry and brings an intriguing hand-made and quality element to this useful tall cabinet.
The lightly distressed warm grey lacquer will work easily in to most interiors schemes.
This tall grey cabinet could also be useful media storage; cable access can be created in the back if required.
Chinese lacquer is generally easy to care for. A soft duster will remove fingerprints, a silicone furniture cleaning spray will restore the lustre and spills can be removed with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
There is a risk of wood splitting, discolouring or warping if placed directly next to a heat source (including under floor heating) or in sunlight.
