Logistics and Office Manager:

This fast-moving and varied role will suit you if you enjoy co-ordinating and overseeing a process to its completion;Responsible for organising the storage and delivery of stock and delivery of customer orders. In this role you will ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost. You will also be involved in stock control, warehousing and monitoring the flow of goods.Understanding the whole supply chain is important so that you can co-ordinate it effectively and liaise with customers, suppliers and give accurate reporting.

 ResponsibilitiesAs a logistics and office manager you'll need to:

 plan vehicle routes; use IT systems to manage stock levels, delivery times and transport costs; use information systems to ensure the smooth running of the office and administrate 2 satellite stores: evaluate systems performance and quality to plan improvements; allocate and manage staff resources according to changing needs; manage delivery and temporary staff; iaise and negotiate with customers and suppliers; increase efficiency by researching and engaging new suppliers, analysing logistical problems and producing new solutions; understand, work with and possibly help to develop e-commerce; continually try to improve and develop business performance within the constraints of stock availability and delivery services available

You may also be required to: implement health and safety procedures; manage delivery and warehouse staff training issues; motivate other members of the team; project manage; set objectives; plan projects;  

Skills - You will need to have:

 a logical and systematic approach to work; good time management ability; the ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as think laterally and offer creative solutions; commercial awareness and numeracy skills; some degree of IT literacy and the ability to handle electronic data; the ability to manage change; strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team, as well as manage people; excellent communication skills, both oral and written; negotiation and analytical skills; a positive attitude to continued learning.

Interns & Work Experience

We are offering an office internship or work experience post for a luxury interiors retailer – flexible days/hours. To work in  a small but busy office just outside Stockbridge – own transport is essential. As well as general office duties the main role will be to build a photography library using lightbox. So interest or experience in photography, digital marketing, photo editing, SEO and business studies would be an advantage.
