Part-time position at Orchid’s busy Stockbridge head-office
3 days per week
9.30–5.30
Starting April 2010
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy office within a growing company. Duties are varied and you need to be flexible. You must be computer literate, preferably with a knowledge of Excel, Photoshop, Word, PowerPoint and using an Apple Mac and PC.
The successful applicant will enjoy sales, marketing, administration and dealing with customers, both trade and retail on the phone and face to face.
Attention to detail and accuracy is paramount.
You will be very organised and show initiative and self-motivation, bringing good ideas and experience to improve the day to day running of the office.
Excellent written English and numeracy skills are a must. Creative writing skills would be an advantage.
Being part of a small and busy team means that you will be flexible and prepared to take on additional duties and work different hours at times.
Duties will include:
- Website administration
- Involvement on photo shoots and image uploading to the website
- Managing the in-house photo library and sending images to the press
- Devising and implementing administrative systems
- Involvement in import logistics and shipping company liaison & admin
- Preparing and organising directors’ itineraries for buying trips
- Involvement in preparation for exhibiting at trade shows and in-store events
- Sales in store, on line and telephone
- Responding to day to day emails with customers and suppliers
- Involvement with unloading and checking in new stock on arrival
- Some Saturday showroom cover may be necessary
The package:
- There is a 3 month probationary period
- Statutory holiday entitlement
- Competitive hourly rate dependent upon skills & experience
Own transport is necessary.
