Delivery Info

Orchid endeavours to deliver items in stock within ten working days from purchase.

All purchases must be paid in full prior to delivery. All deliveries must be signed for.

Orchid must be notified immediately should the customer not wish to accept delivery.

Small delivery items

Postal deliveries will require a signature upon receipt. Orchid should receive returns or be notified of non-delivery or the intention to return items, within ten days of order confirmation. If items cannot be delivered, Royal Mail will leave a notification card for re-delivery or collection from a local Royal Mail depot.

Large delivery items

Delivery Charges
UK delivery of non-postal items, such as fragile items, or larger pieces of furniture will be delivered by arrangement at the time of purchase.

Charges are £40 for small furniture and £80 for larger pieces to UK mainland addresses, regardless of the number of items in each delivery. Please contact Orchid for delivery charges to non-mainland addresses. To avoid delivery charges, pieces may be collected from Orchid’s showrooms or storage premises by prior arrangement after purchase.

Delivery Times
Furniture deliveries will be made on weekdays only – an a.m. or p.m. delivery will be scheduled.

Orchid reserves the right to use a sub-contracted delivery company, in this instance assembly of furniture and removal of packaging is not included in the purchase and delivery price. When signing for receipt of an item, please state whether the item has been checked. Courier companies presume that signed for goods have been checked – should damage be found after signing then compensation cannot be claimed.

For stock items, or bespoke items on order, arrival times in the UK are approximate. Upon arrival, pieces will be checked and upon receipt of any balance payment due, a convenient delivery time will be arranged.

Items will be delivered to the ground floor of a building. If using Orchid personnel, “knock-down” pieces will be assembled, and packaging will be removed.

It is the customer’s responsibility to measure correctly, including all access, prior to purchase. The customer is responsible for any item which does not fit into the property, or room, for which it was intended.

International delivery

Purchases made from, and deliveries made outside the EU will not be liable for VAT; however, other local customs charges may apply and are the customer’s responsibility. Shipping charges will be quoted with the full delivery address, area code and nearest port.
