Bespoke Service

Orchid’s made-to-measure service offerss a free rein to reproduce Orchid’s own collections, or pieces of similar design, but to different dimensions.

Reproduction pieces are made using reclaimed wood, usually elm, where possible. A choice of pewter or gold coloured brass hardware for door and drawer furniture, which can be decorative or plain, is available. Various options are available for hinges, closings and drawer and door handles. Orchid’s staff will be able to give full details of available styles.

The lacquer process is the same as that displayed in Orchid’s showrooms. Samples of colours are available in-store. Should you wish to match a specific colour, please provide a Pantone number. Lacquers are mixed and applied by hand so a match cannot be guaranteed, however we do promise a 90% match.

Beds can be made to any size. Orchid does not stock mattresses but non-standard mattress sizes are available from specialist manufacturers.

It is the customer’s responsibility to check dimensions specified will fit the designated space. Large pieces such as wardrobes, dressers and book-cases are usually constructed as complete units, prior to ordering furniture, all access should be carefully checked including doorways and staircases.

Bespoke fees

There is an £80 administrative charge for this service.

Altered sizes of Orchid’s stock items, whether they are to be decreased or increased will incur an additional charge.

Costs for additional materials, hardware and template creation will be discussed at the time of order.

An order will be put into production with a 50% deposit and will be shipped in the next available container – the ETA will be established on placing your order.
