Antique Sourcing

Orchid has established relationships with several antique restorers in China. Each supplier has their own area of specialisation, in terms of finish, colour and type of furniture.

Using these contacts Orchid will source antique pieces in China. Taking into account preferred style, size, and colour, suitable pieces will be emailed to the customer for consideration.

Orchid’s originals collection showcases the style of Ming and Qing furniture available. These are traditional styles so can be sourced in various sizes and with minor variations.

If necessary, alterations can be made, using traditional methods and matching existing wood. Style and colour of brass hardware can be chosen and pieces can be lacquered to a required colour. Colours cross a spectrum are available. Lacquer colours can be viewed at both Orchid showrooms.
